Geospatial Lab's initiative to visit schools and share spatial data and GIS

 

Primary School Session

Introduce the characteristics, uses and applications of spatial data. It will be conducted in the form of slide presentations, interactive games and guidance to help students understand the various applications of spatial data in their daily lives. Through this activity, students will gain an interesting and enriching learning experience while enhancing their understanding of spatial data.

 

Secondary School Session

Introduce the characteristics and applications of spatial data, along with the utilisation of GIS for conducting spatial analyses to extract valuable insights for problem-solving and decision-making purposes. They will be conducted in the form of slide presentations, interactive games and guidance to help students understand the various applications of spatial data in their daily lives. Through this activity, students will gain an interesting and enriching learning experience while enhancing their understanding of spatial data and GIS.

 

60 minutes (adaptable to class schedule)

 

Quota:	The minimum number of students for each activity is 20 If the number of students is fewer than 20, please contact Geospatial Lab to discuss a suitable arrangement
Languages:	Cantonese / English
Fee:	All services provided by Geospatial Lab for students are free of charge

• Successful applicants will be notified by phone or email

• Please contact Geospatial Lab if you do not receive any response one week before the scheduled date

• To cancel an appointment, please notify the staff by phone at least 3 days before the visiting date
